What are the main learning outcomes of the FIRC?

The primary learning outcome of the Flight Instructor Refresher Course (FIRC) is to update instructional methods and improve flight safety. This course is designed to help flight instructors stay current with the latest teaching strategies, technologies in aviation, and safety practices. While increasing the number of flight instructors nationwide and enhancing recreational flying experiences can be positive side effects of well-trained instructors, they are not the main objectives of the FIRC.
